The Highland Council requires a register to be kept of all dogs attending the kennels. This register contains the following:
· Name, address and telephone number of owner or keeper
· Dates of booking
· Name of dog
· Description, breed, age and gender of dog
· Microchip number
· Name, address and telephone number of dog’s veterinary surgeon
· Health, welfare and nutrition requirements
· Emergency contact details
· Written agreement in respect of emergency veterinary treatment
· A written record of medicines administered on the premises
The vet certificate must be kept on-site throughout the booked period and must be made available to officers of the Highland Council for inspection on request.
The Highland Council requires the data in the Booking Register to be kept for 24months.
CCTV records all arrivals at The Hirsel. This recording is stored for two weeks then erased.
The Hirsel is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) under the Data Protection Act.
